The class

The only reason I can think of when someone of my ‘make and model’ decides to embark on the social work arena is: to address a social ‘problem’ by getting to the heart of it. Yet, what is problem? Say, who is to decide or diagnose a person with bipolar when it could merely be the individual’s method of coping with life? Who is to decide what is normal and abnormal - who is to say that we are the ‘problem’? I do not have an objective view on this (with apologies)… I believe that the tide could pace itself in time for us to loosen the chains that shackled us, perhaps we needed time, yet.. shall we not go there before the all too familiar stigma that view us as shift-blamers and unable to acknowledge and assume responsibility, non initiative, only highly praised in area of excellent culinary and birthing skills. Victims never really are aware that they are, but those who do find themselves gasping desperately to deviate from social stigma. I declare I am my own racial profiler. My roots are recognized but frown upon.
